Get ready for the quickest and easiest transformation.
Our house had really good bones, but there were a few things that needed a refresh – for example, our laundry room. When we moved in, the first floor had a mix of flooring materials. The kitchen and foyer were parquet wood, the family room, front living room and dining room were carpet and the laundry room was a green, marbled sheet product. Sounds gorgeous – I know. How could we rip it up? Well, we didn’t! Instead, we installed new flooring on top (in the laundry room that is). 🙂

Luckily, my Dad is extremely handy and was able to help us install this new vinyl tile so we didn’t have to call in a professional (because we all know that I can’t handle this type of thing). We prepped the green floors by cleaning them thoroughly. The tiles click together during install which required a rubber mallet and some patience. The whole project probably took around 6-7 hours and the investment was less than $200. The perfect weekend project!
Add in a new rug and some flowers and this transformation was complete! It was definitely one of the easiest transformations in the house – yet so impactful! I admire the floors any time I pass through that room (so … every day 🙂 ). Click the photo below to learn more about the vinyl tiles we used!
